AB InBev Buys Craft Brew Alliance After All

For fans of Portland and Oregon brewing history, it’s depressing news. I’ve long suspected that ABI will have little use for a brewery over twenty years old when it already has huge excess capacity. Selling the site in Portland wouldn’t be a shock and would further discount the total price.

Remembering Lompoc

This remembrance comes from Zach Beckwith, currently the Head Brewer at Bend Brewing Company. Zach was the Director of Brewery Operations at from 2008-2012. He recalls a brewery that mbodied the funkier aspects of “old Portland” while serving as the vanguard in new Portland’s hippest streets.
