A Person Walks Into a Bar ... That Person Could Be You!!
My fellow Oregonians and those who visit the Beaver State regularly: Celebrate Oregon Beer needs your help. We’re looking for volunteers to share their experiences when they visit Oregon breweries or beer events. This is a pretty giant state—bigger than the island of Great Britain, about the size of all of New Zealand—and has 200+ breweries and I don’t know how many taprooms. Celebrate Oregon Beer would like the world to see every last one of them!
We’re hoping that you can help our Instagram feed (@celebrateoregonbeer) become a virtual travel site for every brewery from Barley Brown’s to Arch Rock. All you have to do is invite us to collaborate, and your video will appear in our feed as well. You Oregonians are already visiting local breweries, amirite? Just turn on your phone and share what you see. The only limit is your creativity. You can include video, photos, your own talking head, interviews—whatever inspires you. We are especially looking for folks outside the Portland area or those who travel outside it, but Portlanders are welcome, of course.
Surely you can do better than this.
We still haven’t gotten merch off the ground—that’s on the agenda for 2026!—but I am happy to send you some newly-printed stickers. They come with a cool QR code on the back so people can visit the website, sign up for the newsletter, or learn more. Happy to send you some for proselytizing or decorating your own stuff. If you are curious and want to join our growing corps, please email here [director (at) celebrateoregonbeer.com] or DM us on Instagram.
Also! If you are interested in hosting a podcast, Celebrate Oregon Beer is interested in talking to you. It would need to be a regular podcast, but not necessarily frequent. The content should be intentional, but we’re open to shaping that with your interests and own ideas. In general, the podcast would explore breweries, brewers, hop growers, and events in Oregon, but that leaves a lot of latitude in terms of angle and approach. I’d prefer to work with someone who has experience and can produce a professional-sounding podcast, but don’t let that be a barrier if you’re interested. This would not be a lucrative opportunity, but we do have a modest budget, so it’s not a purely volunteer role. You’d need to be located in Oregon.
Oregon is a special place for beer, and you can help us spread the word.
